Based in Hong Kong, Dickson Yewn studied fine arts and business studies in Paris and Ottawa, before proceeding to New York City to study photography and jewellery design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Prior to jewellery design, Yewn has also worked in a variety of creative fields including design, advertising and film. Since 1995, Yewn has been creating luxury jewellery pieces – often one-of-a-kind or limited edition, as well as founding life of circle in 1999. His conceptual jewellery is infused with themes from Chinese arts and culture like yin and yang, as well as the five elements (earth, metal, fire, wood and air).
